Na Fianna Gaelic Football Club was formed in 1999 during the rebuilding phase of Gaelic Football in SA. The Club was formed by the Lawlor family, a name synonymous with Gaelic Games in South Australia. The aim of the Club was to bring back many older players with Irish heritage that had been lost to the game during the late 90s. The Club certainly achieved this going on to win the coveted Hannigan Cup in the men's competition in its first season in 2000. The men's team has enjoyed huge success, winning 7 grand finals in 7 years.
In 2007 our womens team won their first ever Grand Final winning the Mna Cup and consistently have remained in the top three clubs since. They are the core to the success of the Club as a whole. Na Fianna is the Club with the strongest Irish links in the community and have heavily been involved at a Committee level and with State teams.
In April 2009 we celebrated 10 years of the Club announcing our Teams of the Decade. During the season we train Wednesday nights at Port Adelaide Rugby Club, Baynes Place.
